Your data stays yours

Effective October 10, 2026. Zensky is for adults 18 and over.

What the app stores

Your quit plan, logs, reason for quitting and backup people are stored on your phone. They are not sent to our servers.

The AI coach

The Talk tab works on your phone by default. If you allow the AI coach, your messages are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to write replies. Before they leave your phone, names of your backup people, phone numbers and emails are removed. We send only an anonymous summary of your progress (which habits, day count, top triggers, time of day and risk level), never your reason for quitting or your contacts. Our server does not log or store message text. Anthropic keeps API data for up to 30 days and longer only if a message is flagged for safety review. Chats are not used for ads. The coach is an AI, not a person or a therapist.

Safety

If a message suggests someone may be in danger, the app shows 988 (call or text), Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741) and 911. The coach is told to ask directly about safety, to never share harmful details, and to point to real people. We count how often the safety card is shown, without any message text, so we can report it and improve it.

If you tap Report on a coach reply, we receive that reply and the reason you picked, and nothing you wrote. Reports are kept for up to 12 months for safety review.

Turning the AI coach off

You can switch the AI coach off at any time in the You tab. "Delete my data and start over" also clears your AI choice.

Children

Zensky is for adults 18 and over and is not directed to children. If you are under 18, free teen quit help is at teen.smokefree.gov or by texting QUIT to 47848.

What we never do

• No ads and no advertising trackers.
• We do not sell or share your health data.
• We do not contact your backup people. Calls and texts only happen when you tap send.

Payments and sponsor links

Subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active; it receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipts, not your name or quit data. Where sponsor links are offered, the person paying uses our payment provider on the web. Your sponsor link contains a random code and nothing personal.

This website

This site uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts.

Your choices

You can delete all your data at any time from the You tab in the app: tap "Delete my data and start over". Your data lives on your phone, so that removes it, and we usually hold none. If you live in Washington, Nevada or another state with a health data law, you can ask what consumer health data we hold and ask us to delete it. Our privacy inbox for questions and requests opens at launch.
